Rehearsal Information

All PMEH ensembles rehearse regularly during the school year.  Rehearsals are a key element in enabling young musicians to develop their ensemble skills. Generally, there are 30 per year spread across the 6 terms with 5 sessions per term. Players are expected to be punctual and ensure that they bring their instruments and a pencil and rubber. Parents/Carers are expected to collect their children promptly at the end of each rehearsal.

There is a charge for membership of the ensembles which varies from group to group. The income generated from the subscriptions received is being used to offset the costs currently absorbed by the Music Service for accommodation, performances, equipment and staffing. Ensembles are able to apply to draw on the income generated to purchase resources/facilities which enhance and extend their offer to children and young people.
